Daphne's Blessing Day

Daphne was blessed yesterday in church by Ryan.  He gave her such a sweet blessing, and then got up bore his testimony afterwards about his family.  I didn't want to get up, but Ryan really wanted me to, so I got up and gave a short testimony also about how grateful I am for family.  Daphne wore a pretty dress that was kind of too big for her, but it worked okay.  I also painted her fingernails pink for the occasion.  She looked very very cute!  But then again, I thought I looked pretty good also.
After  church, we had a brunch at our house.  I was hungry, and Daphne stuck her fingers in my mouth.  Doesn't she know I am hungry for food, not baby fat? It's my job to feed you, Daphne, not the other way around!
Family picture at our house.  We took a bunch of pictures, and it was just impossible to get a really good one with a wiggly baby in our arms!  This was arguably the best one.
This picture is just in her normal clothes in her bedroom with the doggie props.

Several things.

1. In that first picture she really looks like a doll with her eyes perfectly open and the positioning of her arms. Wow that's crazy.

2. I would like to give props to myself for taking that good family picture. Go me! (the yawning picture was also adorable.)

3. I love the doggie props! They are such good posers.

4. Socrates needs to stop trying to run away, doesn't he realize he will have it harder on the streets? He won't be fed, does he not get that?

5. Poley needs to stop digging at the carpet. Come on Pole, get over it!

It is so cute to see pictures of her with her eyes open. She is adorable. I was so sad that I could not make it to the blessing, I felt so bad. She looks so beautiful and you two make a great looking family.
