Cruisin' right though February

Our cruise last week was so much fun! First of all, the day before was so awesome for Audrey because she went snowboarding at Brighton and had 2 fresh feet of powder that her snowboard just glided through.  She had a great day and even did a couple black diamonds up until she had a bad fall on the last run and hit her head really hard (good thing for helmets!)  

On Sunday, we left for our cruise and Daphne had a good flight there and I think she felt at home on the boat because of the nice gentle sway.  All the Difrans were there so there could always be a babysitter!  Our room was small but it worked well and they even put a crib in there for us.  On Monday, we woke up to a bad storm and it was no wonder why everyone was in their rooms feeling green.  No one was up doing any activities, how could you when the boat was rocking so bad?  Finally though in the afternoon, they found a calm spot where we stayed and everyone felt better.  We played bingo and ate lots.  On Tuesday, we were able to go into Catalina Island and we had fun on a semi-sub boat tour and throwing a frisbee on the beach.  It was still a little stormy, but it all moved out and Wednesday in Ensenada was beautiful!  Audrey, Brooke, Dru and Sallie went horseback riding along a mountain by the beach.  They got real Mexican tacos afterward and some music from a Mariachi band.  Ryan, Daphne and Dallas went down to the Bufadora and saw the ocean come up through a blowhole.  Ryan bought a hammock and a little handmade Mexican dress for Daphne, and Audrey bought some sandals for Daphne and a wooden turtle decoration.  

Back on the ship, there was a mini golf course, a track, a gym, and pools we weren't able to use because it was too cold.  But the soft-serve ice cream anytime was a big hit.  Audrey's family was helpful and fun to hang out with and we are glad we all went together.  After the ship docked, Ryan had to go to the airport, but Audrey and her family drove around San Diego a little bit, visiting In-N-Out burger (of course), Hotel del Coronado, and the temple.  It was a GREAT vacation and we all had lots of fun!
