4 weeks of Phoebe and time off

Ryan had 4 weeks off work to spend with us and it was awesome. Every day was laid back and kid-oriented, trying to get a new routine down. We spent a lot of time at home and doing short trips out, like getting smoothies or eating at In-N-Out. We also went to St. George last weekend with all Ryan's sibs and had fun sitting by the pool, going to the park, and lizard hunting with the kids. Here's a short recap of our 4 weeks together, but it is certainly not inclusive (we always take the camera everywhere but frequently forget to take pictures).
These are a couple pictures from when Phoebe was really fresh--just 4 days old. She looked a lot like Daphne when she was a newborn, except Phoebe has darker hair. And that was exactly how we envisioned Phoebe before she was born--a Daphne with darker hair.
Here is Phoebe between her newborn twin cousins, Owen and Liam. They are Ryan's sister Jenny's kids and they were born April 21, just a couple weeks before Phoebe. Our girls only have boy cousins right now; 5 of them. Hopefully we'll get some more girls in there. :)
Phoebe got laid down on the blanket for tummy time and instead of wiggling around, she went to sleep. So before I rolled her over to her back, I got a picture because she looks like a frog with the way her legs stick out.
Of course, we can't forget Daphne through this family change. She is so concerned with Phoebe all the time, and will come get us if she starts crying. She also likes to go up to Phoebe, pat her on the head and say "hi Feefee." Here Daphne is with her girlfriend Halle, who lives 2 doors up the street and is 9 months older than Daphne.
Daphne loves visiting grandparents now and is no longer wary of going to their houses. My parent's dog is named Juno, and Daphne calls her "Nuno" and likes to climb all over her.
It was so sad, but the final episode of Lost was also during our spring break. We watched the episode at my parent's since they are Lost fans too, and I made 'Dharma' cookies for the occasion. It was so good, we are excited for the series to come out on DVD.

We also found out yesterday that Phoebe is a carrier of Galactosemia. We got a call a couple weeks ago saying that it came up positive on the newborn screening test and that we immediately needed to put her on soy formula until further testing was done. We were so concerned because it sounded really bad at first, but it turns out that she is fine, and that she is a little low on the enzymes to metabolize lactose and galactose. So we will keep her on half breastfeeding and half soy formula for now, and then try to limit her dairy to 1 serving or so as she gets older.

So, we had a great spring break enjoying time as a family, and now Ryan starts work again today going to nights. He will be on nights for a few weeks, and then goes back to days.

Phoebe is so cute and I love that Daphne calls her Feefee. How sweet is that? :)
